Math Activity – In the first year of life, an infant typically increases in height by 50% & in weight by 200%. Suppose an infant measured 22” long & weight 7 lbs at birth. How tall would that child be on his or her first birthday? How much will the child weigh?
Quick write: How are teens and toddlers similar in development, accomplishments and frustrations. List 5 for each category.
Discussion: How do you feel about teen guys (ages 13-16) caring for children? What perspective and skills might guys bring to the job?
Reteaching – Child care quiz; you are the experts in a particular area of childcare – form questions/answers with your group to quiz other groups
