Course Syllabus

American History II Resource (POR)

United States 1929 – Present
        Students will study significant events in United States History from 1929 to Present. The course will give the students an understanding of what was happening in United States during these years. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about the people who were major figures and contributors who helped shape this time period in United States History.

Topics that will be focuses of study include:
MP 1 & 2:

-       The New Deal
-       World War II
-       Cold War
-       Postwar Boom
-       The New Frontier and the Great Society
-       Mid Term Exam

o       This course will focus on New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards for Social Studies as well as individual goals and objectives from each student’s IEP.
