"The newest computer can merely compound, at speed, the oldest problem in the relations between human beings, and in the end the communicator will be confronted with the old problem, of what to say and how to say it."
~ Edward R. Murrow, most distinguished and renowned figure in the history of American broadcast journalism
"I wish I could play music. I think I get as close as possible with the editing of the films. Over the years music has been an even more important influence than—or as important as—film.
There’s no doubt about it. Painting, movement, dance, sculpture—it’s all in cinema."
~Martin Scorsese, writer/director/producer
"I'm just trying to tell a good story and make thought-provoking, entertaining films. I just try and draw upon the great culture we have as a people, from music, novels, the streets."
~Spike Lee, writer/director/actor/producer
"According to most studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you’re better off in the casket than doing the eulogy."
~Jerry Seinfeld, actor & comedian
