Expectations
Classroom Rules:
Enter classroom quietly and be seated before the bell rings.
Be respectful to everyone. Treat others as you wish to be treated.
Raise your hand and wait to be called on.
Follow all directions given by teacher.
If you choose to break a rule:
First Time: Verbal Warning
Second Time: Teacher Detention (15 minutes)
Third Time: Referral Written + Phone Call Home, Lunch Detention

Course Outline
The student will develop and strengthen reading, writing, listening, speaking, and viewing/media literacy skills.
Classroom Procedures
Beginning of class:
Be seated when the bell rings.
Take out your homework.
Write down your homework.
Work on the “Do Now.”
End of Class:
Work to the bell.
Be sure your homework is written down.
Stay seated until you are dismissed by the teacher.
Late for class:
Come in the room quietly.
Give teacher the pass.
Detention will be given for unexcused tardiness.
Absence:
Get absence slip signed.
Ask for missed assignments and notes.
You are responsible for all worked missed in your absence.
Leaving the room:
Raise your hand to ask permission to leave the classroom.
Fill out your agenda and get it signed.
NO LOCKER PASSES!
Fire Alarm:
Stay calm.
Line up at the door across the front of the classroom.
Walk in a straight line down the stairs to the designated area
Attendance will be taken.
Keep quiet.
Cheating:
Phone call home.
Administration contacted.
Automatic failure of test or assignment.
